Nelson and I could see/hear the storm coming and since we’d arrived a little early we ran (literally) and photographed the beautifully decorated ceremony and reception sites so we could get the pretty shots…just in case. As it started raining we ducked under the barn to wait it out. Elisabeth’s moms had come up to the barn as it started raining and told me “I told Elisabeth there is an Irish proverb that says if it rains on your wedding day you will be wealthy.”

A few minutes later as we hid behind a trying to get a little cover as the torrential storm hit, …blowing over tables, washing decorations away…we agreed that at this rate, Kole & Elisabeth were gonna be billionaires.

But as the wedding day continued to unfold, it became obvious that these two are already wealthy and they are multi-billionaires in love, support and happiness. After the storm, every available person on the ranch rallied to piece everything back together. Wringing out table clothes, washing plastic silverware, picking up scattered centerpieces and restoring everything to as good as it had been (or better)!

Their wedding and reception took place on the rural Arizona ranch where both Kole & Elisabeth grew up. (If you haven’t seen it already, you’ll love their engagement story…which began back when they were 4 years old). They got ready in their childhood homes just down the road from each other, shared the most touching first look in the meadow near where they will build their first home, were officiated by their dads and surrounded the entire day with friends and family who were simply beaming as these two started the next chapter of their lives together.

Nelson and I loved getting to photograph this beautiful couple and wish them so much happiness and blessings! We can’t wait to see what the Lord brings for them in the upcoming years…cause, billionaires you all…we didn’t get soaked to the bone for nothin’.

Ps. Yes our get-away Chevy got stuck in the mud. Yes we still took pictures in it!
