I love the kind of stories that give you goosebumps and warm fuzzies. The ones that make you believe all over again that true love really does exist and things that are “meant to be” will happen in a beautiful way.
Steven and Tori were adorable as they took turns weaving together their story for me as we bumped along a 4×4 road to get to our shoot location outside of Sedona.
Years before, when she accepted a random facebook-friend request from a “decent looking guy,” Tori didn’t realize their lives had been so interconnected since their childhood. They’d grown up in the same area and Steven remembered seeing her playing with toads as a little girl…and thought her hair looked like an upside-down mop. Little did they know that the future would bring them together.
Hoping that he’d one day meet the right girl, Steven had always had this idea of how he’d want to propose when the time came. Not wanting anyone to steal his idea, he practiced how he’d propose in secret. Years later after starting to get to know Tori he figured he’d found the one…if only she’d agree to date him!
Eventually, she did date him and the way they look at each other shows how truly they are meant to be.
Knowing Tori loved the fall leaves he carefully planned to propose in beautiful West Virginia and took her out horseback one day for a ride. She was suspicious and when he got off his horse and went to pick up the foot her first thought was how she hoped he hadn’t actually put a ring under there! What she didn’t expect was for the horse and him both to drop to one knee!
The wind tried to blow us off the side of the mountain during their Sedona Arizona engagement session, but these two and their laid back attitude made working with them, even in a wind-storm, so much fun! I am counting the days until I get to see them again, next time on a ranch in Florida, as they become Mr & Mrs!
